Canteen is a part of college life. It tends to be the most popular place on campus not only physical refreshment but also for students bonding. Our college has its spacious two campus canteen. It is separated for boys and girls. There are different kinds of food items are available in canteen. The charges are moderate. Both the canteen are furnished with sufficient furniture. There are separated cabins for teachers and students. Both the canteen has a bib kitchen and kitchen staff take extra care to provide our student with an excellent and hygienic food. Both the canteen is inspected daily by the college resident medical officer.

The college library has a valuable collection of books on topics of curriculum as well as general interest. To keep the stock up to-date, new books are added at regular intervals.

Rules for the Issue of Books

• No student is permitted to enter the library without his/her identity-cum-library card.
• The student who possess identity card, can get 2 books issued for 8 days. A fine of Rs.10/- per day will be charged after the due date.
• A book issued can be recalled anytime by the librarian.
• Reference Books, Periodicals, Magazines and Newspapers are not to be issued, however they may be used for consultation within the library.
• In case of loss/damage of books borrowed, a student shall be liable to pay the cost of the book lost or defaced/damaged.
• Students are expected to observe silence in the library.
• Students shall keep their belongings at the library entrance with the library attendant.
• The library will be closed once a year for stock checking. All the books borrowed must be returned as notified by the Principal/Librarian.

The College has three excellent hostels for Boys and Girls located separately. The hostels provide very congenial and homely atmosphere to students. These hostels are equipped with modern amenities and facilities. These hostels keep a strict vigil on the inmates and discipline of a very high order is maintained in the hostels.

Rules regarding payment of Hostel Charges

• The amount of security is refundable/ adjustable as and when the student leaves the hostel or the mess is closed permanently.
• In case a student does not pay the hostel charges by the due date, it shall be the responsibility of the Warden to insure that such student does not continue to stay / reside in the hostel.
• Once a student is admitted to the hostel he/she cannot stop paying the hostel rent on the plea that he/she has stopped residing in the hostel.
• In order to vacate the hostel accommodation, the student is required to obtain the prior permission of the Provost/Warden and send a prior intimation to the college office positively. If the name of the student is struck off due to non payment of hostel dues from the list of hostlers he/she can be allowed re-admission with the approval of Principal.

A Healthy Body is a Guest-Chamber for Happiness Peace & Elation

SBHSM Khalsa college of Education provides its students and staff with "Health-Care" facility in the college campus with its well equipped and well structured Dispensary. College Dispensary is managed under the able guidance of qualified and experience Medical person who is available to all for medical assistance and first aid.

The college Dispensary provides treatment of general disorders and performs minor surgical procedures dressings. Proper cleanliness and hygiene is maintained along with separate rest rooms for students and staff. The doctor and medical experts not only provide consultancy but organize various health awareness seminars for the students from time to time. Medicines are also provided to students at discounted prices. The college provides services on health issues like nutrition, abuses of drugs, remedies of depression, stress and eating disorders etc.

For any Emergency college has Ambulance to take student patient to the nearby hospitals.

Science is different from any other subject. In order to understand science concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning of science involves seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials. The knowledge that students attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction. Students get a first-hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own. For this purpose College has well equipped and spacious Science Lab replete with Scientific Instruments, Models, Charts and Preserved Specimens. Students are encouraged to use these laboratories to learn through experiments. Every year latest instruments, specimens, charts etc. are purchased for these laboratories.

Psychology lab is the integral part of a B.Ed college as knowledge of psychology is essential for the prospective teachers. Our institution optimally utilizes the Psychology Laboratory which has various standardized intelligence tests, aptitude, creativity tests and also interest, adjustment and personality inventories which prove to be beneficial to the B Ed students for conducting various psychological experiments.

SBHSM offers a well maintained computer-cum-educational technology lab to facilitate the students and teachers with basic training in ICT based teaching learning process. Information, communication, technology and computer education as parts of ICT have become integral components of all teacher education programs in the country. The college believes in integration of all the resource center to provide cross curriculum support. ICT resource center forms the backbone of all the resource centers. The college has a computer laboratory with internet connection facilities. The laboratory is also equipped with scanning and printing facilities. The college also has overhead projectors and all relevant audio-visual aids. The labs also runs a language software program to improve the communication skills of students.

Our college also emphasizes on sports along with regular curriculum. The college has specific sports room well equipped with sports material and facilities for indoor games. The college is having following play fields at its campus: Volley ball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Badminton, Basket ball, Table-Tennis, Athletic Track.
